EMU Rolls Over MBC 92-46

Harrisonburg, VA - Eastern Mennonite University improved their record to 17-2 with a decisive win Thursday evening over Mary Baldwin College.  Leading 15-14 at the 12:37 mark, the Royals went on a 31-2 run and led at the half 48-20.   

The second half proved to be more of the same as EMU outscored the Fighting Squirrels 44-26 to win the contest 92-46.  Eastern Mennonite shot an impressive 51.6% making 7 of 18 from behind the arc.  The Royals got 44 points from their bench and outrebounded MBC 47-27.

Mary Baldwin College, 4-13 (2-10 USAS), was led by Sophomore Shanice Miles who scored 12 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. She was followed closely by Freshman Meagan Barron who added 10 points.

MBC has little time to recover as they travel this weekend to Raleigh, NC to take on USA South conference rival Peace College on Saturday before finishing the four-game week on Sunday at Methodist University.
