MBC Soccer Improves Their Record to 3-0

Staunton, VA - The Mary Baldwin College soccer team easily defeated Christendom College this afternoon 7-0 to improve their record to 3-0 on the year.  

Sophomore Caitlin Novak scored her first of four goals this afternoon just two minutes into the game and the Fighting Squirrels never looked back.  Freshman Brenda Santamaria scored the second goal for MBC.  She was assisted by Michelle Jones.  Junior Kallie Johnson scored the next goal from 35 yards out.  Jordan Jones added her first goal of the season and Caitlin Novak scored the 5th goal for Mary Baldwin as time ran out in the half.

The Fighting Squirrels continued to dominate in the second half as Novak scored her final two goals.  The first was from a breakaway pass from Samantha Thomas and the second a 40 yard bomb.

Erin Dullahan anchored the goal for MBC finishing the day with 7 saves.

Mary Baldwin will be back in action this Thursday when they travel to Washington, D.C. to play Trinity College.
